At Peace Inside, we believe that therapy should be accessible to everyone, because taking care of your mental health is not a luxury, it’s a necessity.

The experience of counselling and psychotherapy is an investment in yourself and the future you deserve. The understanding, self-compassion, and clarity that come from a positive therapeutic relationship can stay with you long after the sessions have ended.

We know that the cost of therapy can sometimes be a barrier, and we don’t want finances to stand in the way of your well-being.
That’s why we offer a limited number of low-cost counselling appointments, both in-person and online, to make counselling more accessible.

Alongside our experienced accredited and pre-accredited therapists, we are proud to have student therapists who are currently completing recognised professional training courses. Each of them has the skills and knowledge to support you, and they receive constant supervision from both Peace Inside and their educational institutions.

If you’re looking for low-cost and affordable counselling in Galway or simply want to take the first step toward a calmer, more peaceful you, we’re here to help.

Because mental health care isn’t a luxury — it’s a basic need. 🌿

“I’m fine” - two words that can carry a lifetime of weight.

Sometimes it means I don’t have the words yet.

Sometimes it means I’m afraid that if I start, I won’t stop.

We’ve all said it. We’ve all hidden behind it.
But being honest about not being fine doesn’t make you a burden, it makes you brave.

So next time you catch yourself saying “I’m fine,” maybe check in: what would I say if I felt safe enough to be real?

You deserve spaces where “fine” isn’t your only option. 💙

🤍 We're here when you're ready to talk.

Life has a way of making us stress over the most deliciously unimportant things.
Deadlines, traffic, that one awkward text from three days ago… and yet, 99% of what we stress about never actually happens.

Take this as your reminder to breathe...and maybe eat the donut🍩.
Your nervous system deserves a break (and maybe some sprinkles) 😉.

If you’re feeling like your stress has taken the driver’s seat lately, it might be time to slow down and check what your mind’s really hungry for - peace or pastry? (Ideally both!😋)

Some days, being a therapist means holding space for others while quietly managing your own doubts.

Did I say enough? Did I listen deeply enough? Did I show up the way they needed?
The truth is, therapy isn’t about perfection, it’s about presence.

Even therapists have heavy days and quiet moments of self-reflection. Therapists take the silence home, carry stories in their hearts, and still show up - because healing happens in connection, not in flawless words.

If you ever wonder whether your presence matters, it does. Sometimes, being there is the therapy. 💬🌱

At first, they seem confident, charming, maybe even a little too perfect like they’ve read every “how to impress” manual ever written. 😏

But beneath that calm surface? A storm of insecurity, control, and emotional gymnastics.

Narcissism isn’t confidence, it’s just a camouflage.

It often starts as self-protection, then turns into performance. What looks like charm is sometimes a well-polished defence mechanism.

If you’ve ever been caught in the cycle: love-bombed, gaslit, confused please know: it’s not your fault. They are just very skilled...

Therapy can help you untangle that confusion, rebuild boundaries, and remember what healthy love feels like (hint: it’s peaceful, not chaotic). 💚

So here’s your gentle reminder: you can’t fix someone who’s invested in their mask. But you can heal, grow, and choose calm over chaos. 🌿

Ever find yourself scrolling, comparing, and suddenly feeling like everyone else has their life in perfect alignment while you’re still just... trying to remember what day it is? 🙃

Yeah, we’ve all been there. The truth is, comparison is a thief, it steals your joy and your sense of enoughness. What you see online is the highlight reel, not the behind-the-scenes chaos (and trust us, there’s plenty of that).

Your worth isn’t something to be earned, improved, or liked, it’s already there. Therapy can help you find it again, quiet the inner critic, and start appreciating your own messy, beautiful process. 🌿

So maybe today, instead of asking “why am I not there yet?”, try “how far have I already come?” You might just surprise yourself.

✨ Protect your peace. Unfollow the comparison. You’re doing just fine.

Not every tired feeling is physical, sometimes it’s the people around you.

If you often walk away from a conversation feeling heavy, anxious, or suddenly drained, you might be spending time with an emotional vampire, someone whose behaviour quietly drains your energy.

Learning how to identify energy drainers is key to protecting your mental health and emotional balance. These are the people who turn every talk into a monologue, minimise your feelings, or create chaos that somehow becomes your responsibility.

Recognising energy drainer behaviour in relationships doesn’t mean you’re judgmental — it means you’re self-aware. Notice who leaves you grounded and who leaves you empty.

Here’s how to protect your energy from toxic people 👇
🦇 Limit or plan time with them, not every call or meet-up deserves your energy.
🦇 Use gentle but firm language: “I’m not available for this right now.”
🦇 Don’t j.a.d.e. ->that means don’t justify, argue, defend, or explain your boundary.

Protecting your energy isn’t about shutting people out. It’s about learning who drains you, who restores you, and choosing accordingly, because protecting your peace isn’t rude, it’s required.

They’ll see you doing something they never dared to try and still find a way to twist it.
That’s what happens when people project their own fear onto your courage.

You’ll walk on water, and they’ll say it’s because you can’t swim.
You’ll heal, and they’ll say it’s fake.
You’ll grow, and they’ll say you’ve changed “too much.”

People who haven’t faced their own discomfort will always criticise yours. But their noise says more about their limits than your worth.

Keep walking. Keep healing. Keep doing what feels right for your growth not for their approval.

You don’t owe anyone an explanation for your peace, your progress, or the way you choose to rebuild yourself.

Let them talk. You’re busy doing what they said couldn’t be done. 🌊

Therapy doesn’t stop when your session ends, that’s when the healing starts to take root. 🌱

What you do between therapy sessions helps make therapy more effective and keeps your progress growing. Think of it as small therapy homework ideas/ tools that help therapy work in real life.

Here are a few activities between therapy sessions you can try:
✨ Reflect on what stood out from your last session.
🪞 Practice one therapy skill during real conversations.
📱 Save your therapist’s insights as notes on your phone.
🖊️ Journal after tough moments to process emotions.
💭 If you feel stuck, jot down questions for your next appointment.

These therapy homework for adults practices help you reinforce therapy progress at home and use therapy skills between sessions.

Healing isn’t just something that happens in the therapist’s office, it’s something you practice in the messy, beautiful middle of daily life. The more you show up for yourself between sessions, the more therapy becomes part of who you are, not just something you do. 💚

Let’s be real. Saying “sorry” means nothing if their behaviour doesn’t change. 🙃 If they’re only apologising because they got caught, or they drop a “sorry but…” and turn it into a guilt trip, that’s not accountability, that’s classic emotional manipulation.

Real apologies come with action. They’re followed by changed behaviour.

If someone keeps saying “sorry” but nothing shifts, it’s not forgiveness they need, it’s consequences. Protect your peace, raise your standards, and remember: you’re not asking for too much by wanting genuine accountability. 💛

Ever set a boundary and immediately felt like the villain? 😅 Most of us! That gut-punch of guilt after setting boundaries is way more common than you think. You’re not being “too much”, you’re just unlearning years of people pleasing and rewriting what healthy boundaries in relationships actually look like.

Saying “no” isn’t rude, it’s self-respect. 🚫 Protecting your peace isn’t selfish, it’s necessary. And feeling guilty? That’s just your old conditioning trying to talk you out of protecting your energy.

If you’re wondering how to stop feeling guilty or how to say no without guilt, this is your sign. Your boundaries don’t need anyone’s approval, they just need to exist. 💅✨
