While we understand the anxiety of waiting for a Covid19 test or for test results, we need to make a few things clear that possibly aren't, judging by the volume of calls we are getting.....

1. If we referred you for a test, you are on a waiting list for a test and are under the care of Public Health.

2. We do not know, nor have we been advised how long this waiting list is. We only know what's in the media and somewhere between 2 and 5 days seems about right.

3. The wait for test results after your test is about 36 hours...or so. Again, we don't know for sure.

4. We have no control over any aspect of 2 or 3 above.

5. We can't phone anyone to find out anything about your test.

6. We can't phone anyone to get you tested faster because it is important for whatever reason. In this crisis, everyone is important.

7. While we are explaining points 1 to 6 above to you on the phone, 10 people who may have Covid19 are trying to phone us to be referred for testing.

We can't help you, but we could help them.
