Green Tara is a female Buddha who is a consort of Amoghasiddhi Buddha. Tārā is also known as a saviouress who hears the cries of beings in saṃsāra.

For Tibetans, Tara is the most beloved of all the female awakened beings. Green Tara's primary activity is one of protection from fear and danger, and she is committed to responding swiftly the moment that we call upon her.

Green Tara is represented in the traditional posture, with the right leg bent and extended, signifying her readiness to act for the sake of beings who suffer. Her right hand displays the varada mudra indicating it is as a boon-bestowing gesture. Her left hand displays the gesture of refuge and compassion.

As the turning of the wheel of the year rolls by another season and we officially meander into the Harvest Season of LUGHNASA - we are reminded of the reaping what we sew.

Lughnasa marks the beginning of autumn. It is the beginning of the harvest season and celebrates the decline of summer into winter. The old Celtic pagan festival lasted a month, with August 1 at its midpoint, but is currently most often celebrated on the Sunday closest to that date.

Rituals often involve celebrating the first fruits, creating and sacrificing corn dollies, climbing hills or mountains, and feasting on new foods. Other traditions include dancing, music, and craft fairs.

✨ Celebrating the First Fruits - This involves gathering and offering the first fruits of the harvest, often symbolizing abundance and gratitude for the harvest.

✨ Corn Dollie- Making and offering corn dollies, often from wheat stalks, is a fertility symbol and a way to honor the earth

This unique anthology has been inspired by Brigid, the epitome of the feisty Irish woman of peace, hospitality and protection. Brigid's Way is an ancient pilgrimage path which begins at Brigid’s birthplace in Faughart, County Louth, Ireland and runs to Kildare, Brigid's monastic City.

Many people have completed the 9-day walking Pilgrimage (100 miles approx). Those who honour Brigid, as a pre-Celtic Goddess or Christian Saint, come to walk in her footsteps as a way to find peace, connect with the ancestors and commune with the sacred land of Ireland. This book is a collection of Prose, Poetry and Song Lyrics ‘by many who have walked this ancient path.
