RELIEF IS JUST A PHONE CALL AWAY

HAPPY LOY KRATHONG!

Tonight is a very special night in Samran Munnelly’s native Thailand. It is the night when, once a year, Thai people traditionally sail small floating containers made of leaves on waterways throughout the country.
A krathong is decorated with folded banana leaves, incense sticks, and a candle, with a small coin sometimes included as an offering to the river or lake spirits on a full moon night.
Thai people make a wish when they launch their krathongs on rivers, lakes, or ponds.
It is a lovely way of connecting with the spirits - or the ancestors - in much the same way as Irish people celebrate Hallowe'en at this time of year here too.
Samran Munnelly would like to wish all her loyal customers a "Happy Loy Krathong" and best wishes for the coming dark winter months.
She is back at work tomorrow after a short family break in the Basque Country.

CELEBRATING THE BIG TEN

It is a huge cause of celebration for Samran Munnelly that she has been running the best Thai massage business in Galway since September 2015. She’s now based at the Bracken Business Centre, Cooke's Corner, Newcastle Road.
When she started out more than ten years ago, Samran was based in a basement premises on High Street after she left a hair salon to go into business on her own.
She’s really grateful to the friends, neighbours, and regulars who have supported Yod Pho Thai Massage throughout the past ten years.
When this photo was taken, she was just starting out in the city centre ten years ago.
She has free slots available tomorrow from 9.30 to 12.30am, on Friday at 9.30am, 11am, and 2pm, and on Saturday at either 10.30am or 12 noon.
