A SPECIAL DATE

On this date 23 years ago, a young woman from North East Thailand qualified as a massage therapist from the most famous Thai massaage school in the world.

It wasn't in her plans at the time to be running a business of her own in the wet and windy West of Ireland!

But Samran Munnelly set up Yod Pho Thai Massage Galway in September 2015 and has been providing Galwegians with top class massage therapies for almost ten years.

CELEBERATION TIME!

Tomorrow (Friday) Samran will celebrate 23 years since she graduated from the most famous traditional Thai massage school in the world.

When she received her certificate from the Wat Pho School in the heart of historic Bangkok, little did Samran Munnelly imagine that she would end up running her own small business on the west coast of Ireland. That wasn’t part of the plan in 2002!

Samran has been running her own business here in Galway City since September 2015 and she has been based at the Bracken Business Centre since 2018.

If you can't make it to Yod Pho Thai Massage on a weekday, please note that Samran normally opens on Saturdays from 9am to 2pm.

Our Saturday morning slots can be very popular, so it's a good idea to book a massage or treatment in advance. Please do so by calling Samran at (089) 2165894.

She has found over the years that many of her customers are too busy from Monday to Friday to be able to get a chance to relax, heal, and enjoy a Thai, herbal, or oil massage.
Samran sometimes has ‘last minute’ appointments available on Saturdays (between 9am and 2pm) for those who are suffering or in pain.
She also opens Tuesday to Friday from 9.30am to 5pm.

THE DAWN RISER

Regular customers of Yod Pho Thai Massage Galway will be aware that our founder Samran Munnelly gets up every morning at the crack of dawn for an early morning swim before coming to work at the Bracken Business Centre.

Sometimes she captures glorious images on her camera.

Some of us reckon those 5am starts are the reason Samran has such “power” in her shoulders for those vigorous Thai massages she delivers throughout the day at her treatment room.

Samran has a few slots available still this week, tomorrow (Thursday) at 9.30am, 2pm, or 3.30pm; on Friday at 9.30am or 12 noon, and she has some slots available on Saturday morning from 9am onwards.

More than 20 years ago, a young woman called Samran Munnelly left her home in the province of Issan in undertake a professional Thai massage course at the most famous school in the entire kingdom.

Samran qualified in late July 2002 from the national headquarters for the teaching and preservation of traditional Thai medicine.

Traditional Thai massagae, practised in her country for centuries, helps relieve muscle pain and soreness, including back pain. It also helps reduce the intensity and frequence of headaches or migraines.
