We are completely blown away today to get the news that Camping Soul Food is now Shortlisted in the First Cookbook category and go on to represent Ireland for Best in World at the Gourmand Cookbook Awards in Umeå Sweden this June.

We never thought about award nominations when we wrote the book and it would never have happened without the Dream team of Amelia Design & Julia Dunin Photography We can never thank ye enough.

This is mad and crazy and massive cheers to Oscars Seafood Bistro for telling us to go for it.

Not sure Campie would make it to Sweden so we’ll start looking at flights instead.

We love a good story and there is not many stories better than Zak & Sean from Wasabi Crop Limited

“However, if Zak could grow wasabi, that would be amazing. Just imagine being the first to grow and sell wasabi on the Ireland of Ireland – it would certainly make the news!

Zak was only 15 years old and began to plan his ideas on how to grow fresh wasabi. First, he decided the best place to grow it was in a large polytunnel on his field”
And that was only the start.

Can’t wait to try a few different wasabi mustard recipes in very small batches. Thinking Wasabi Ginger and Soy (thanks Brigid) and something with raspberry vinegar (thanks internet)
First things first does anyone have a shark skin grater we can borrow?
