Movement!
I used to move super regularly (maybe too much), but health issues, long covid, injuries, and procrastinating stopped the habit of it. As they say, "I need move for the head," and that certainly is true for me.
For the last two weeks, I've been getting back to doing things I enjoy. It started small with a work initiative of 10000 steps daily, gratefully being accountable to one of my colleagues. This also meant I was getting outdoors every day.
Then, into mobility and movement. This is my biggest challenge with old injuries, confidence, and frustration, to be honest. My body doesn't move like it used to, but gaining compassion for "I can do what I can do" and isn't that great!.
Finally I've been giving new and old things a go! Joined a gym to do some weight lifting, tried a reformer pilates class, back to yoga, a kettlebell class, jumped into the sea with and who reminded me I can get up super early and get out and do things! π€£
The point being... I'm trying to find what works for me and my life now, not how my body used to be! The buzz of movement is incomparable!
Get out there today and do 10 minutes...20 minutes...walk the dog. Start slow, start now, start anyway x
