Example: The Irish government advises that we take vitamin D during the winter. We live too far north of the equator to get enough from the sun. The majority of people living in the south of Spain, for example, do not need to supplement with vitamin D.
There cannot be a "one size fits all" across Europe?? With this potential new EU law we will only be allowed low level doses.

THE THREAT:
The EU is currently finalising restrictive Maximum Permitted Levels (MPLs) for food supplements. Using an outdated toxicological model designed for hazardous chemicals rather than nutrients, they intend to slash the potency of products that Irish consumers have used safely for decades.

WHAT IS AT RISK?
• Dosages for essential nutrients like Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, and Magnesium face massive reductions—often to levels that render them nutritionally insignificant for those with higher needs.

• Botanical Bans: A list of 117 herbal substances is under review for potential restriction or total prohibition, including staples like Ashwagandha, Curcumin (Turmeric), and Maca.

We are so delighted to support local events by facilitating sale of physical tickets. We currently have tickets for Kinvara Community Orchestra concerts on May 30th and 31st 🥳🥳 and will have tickets for the Concert for Cuba as of later on today. We are expecting to have tickets for a third event at the same time.

Whilst we love supporting local events, it's a lot to keep it all straight in a busy shop.
We are often asked to add tickets in with shopping on a card sale but we have to be really strict now that ticket sales have to be cash only. They are not our products and, as such, cannot be rung through our tills for accounting reasons and also to avoid errors with multiple tickets on sale at the one time.

So...yay to tickets and concerts (especially to playing in them!) but no to card sales. Cash is king for tickets please!
