Guided by the talented voice we honoured the women who have gone before us and those who never got for rest ❤️

Remembering those who have gone before us in our line our mothers, grandmothers, great grandmothers, aunties, guides ….

We left one mat and bolster for the women who can not rest

We Soften our hearts, grounded into the mats and rested with gentle yin movements

Our ancestors never rested the way we did tonight but they did rest by the fire, they gathered with other women in community , they shared bread and stories and broke into song and dance ✨

We honour them 🤍

Rest in the new tradition we will bring forward for women ✨

Your work is so important to keep the women of Galway safe and offer a place of security for those in need 🤍

I wonder could we cancel Christmas for just one year ?
For those of us burnt by it all

I dragged myself to the radio show this morning scrambling my notes together this morning exhausted.

Today is an important day for myself and many. For me it marks the end of season I really do not enjoy “Christmas & new year”.

It marks the end for me of a very hectic 9 weeks of preparing, holding people, managing the chaos, bringing the energy, powering up my physical body to move at that speed for service - I’ve been doing it for years, it’s a lot, it never gets easier!

It also marks the end of a season for a lot of people who find this time extremely lonely , riddled with anxiety, and sadness in the middle of all the noise and lights so many people feel so uncomfortable battling personal demons, family issues, financial issues, the fear of missing out, loneliness, the childless, the over worked mother, the parent exhausted from providing so much money to sustain it all, etc etc

So please don’t push yourself this week, just slow down, light a candle, breath, move and honour making it through ✨✨✨

Women holding women ✨

A wonderful year with amazing women attending class in Galway, retreats in Greece and Scotland , teacher training in Mallorca and Clare and online, women’s conference in New York, welcoming baby Sophia to the clan.

Women hold space for women in such a powerful and uplifting way ✨

I reckoned I’ve crossed paths with over 400 women this year.

While I have held space for many women, many women have held space for me last year too especially during rough patch in November and I am so grateful for them all the flowers, chocolates, gifts, words of support and the most important thing their time 🤍🤍🤍🤍

Wholesome morning, not setting intentions or goals, just gently becoming present in our bodies.

Shaking the Dust of 2025 and finding the freedom without ourselves to become more authentic, wise and unapologetic 🤍

As we sit in the belly of winter we will continue to honour the slow, still days tapping into our feminine ways … summer will come … but for now just be in the here and now ✨✨

Very grateful for all who have shown up for class this past year. I absolutely adore holding these sessions in 56 or wherever my feet land for all of you ❤️

I am excited for the year ahead and what will unfold for me and all of you

Especially over the holidays🎄

I will be donating 50% of the class to Modh Eile House which as I walk past on my way to work, I always think of the many women who walk in and out and get the support they need. 🤍

Family business at Christmas 🎄

10 years in 56 Central on Shop Street but over 30 years since my first Christmas with Dad in Zhivago on Shop Street selling CDs!

Glued to Shop Street we are !

My dad, and my two brothers 💙💙💙

Rolled up the yoga mat for December now I am flipping fried eggs and pancakes, doing a million rosters changes, decorating windows, arranging all the end of year stuff while seating thousands of customers this month all while downing a tonic 🤣

We all do what we can to get through the month and I am truly blessed to do it with these lads!

Wake up this New Year’s Day and make your way to me ….

We will sit in a cosy circle with like minded people who couldn’t give a toss about the traditional New Year’s Eve malarkey up town.
In this circle we will sip some warm cacao and open our hearts up to what is possible for 2026

We will the rise from the ground and literally Shake the Dust off 2025 and while dancing, shaking, jumping, squatting, singing and screaming we will light the fire within us to step forward to own 2026

Then we will drop to our mats for some slow long held Yin Yoga poses for an hour to give our nervous system time to recalibrate.

Because I am not

Life is messy
Life is painful

Sometimes I cry into my cacao sometimes I dance around my kitchen in sheer joy and happiness

I don’t share every detail of my life on here because well we know that ain’t too healthy

I am here to empower you, we all know that we will face pain and pleasure and I hope to be able to help you land in between the two

I exist between both like you all 🤍🖤

Last year I said to Brendan…. “But what’s your real passion?… being a DJ he replied 🎧

Then like the domino effect things just started to line up and drop for us ✨

The old saying your vibe attracts your tribe ✨

My dream was to have a DJ session in 56 with David who works with us so Brendan came on board and we hosted a sell out Party donating all the funds to Arts Alive and the creative work they do.

Then during the summer I said to Brendan how about you come on board for Shake The Dust il figure out how.

So with the support of Café Lates Kate we pulled it off and were able to host these magical events in 56 Central

So now we have 2 people being creative and full present in their passion - only magic can unfold ..

Shake the Dust as Brendan tells everyone before the class is a journey and that’s exactly it

A heart opening, body exploding , wild , exhausting but rewarding journey
Where pain meets pleasure in the sweetest way 🍯

Having Brendan on the decks and guiding the music made the whole session so much more powerful.
Hours spent deciding which songs to play and when and what will open up hearts, what songs will evoke something …

I could almost feel his energy rooting for everyone to show up and meet the beat and then let go into his music - let it touch you and this energy worked everyone who stepped into the room gave it 100%

Togther we created a safe container for people to feel free , to go to the places within themselves , to express in ways they maybe never did.

We shouted, screamed, laughed, cried, shook, jumped, danced but mainly we just showed up for the here and now ✨✨✨✨✨

Massive thanks to this man for supporting this adventure and for Kate believing in us 🤍

Lots more exciting Shake The Dusts coming again in 2026 🤞
