📣 We have some exciting news here at LOC Podiatry!

Our podiatrist, Nessa Whelan, has decided to leave the practice after two years with us. We would like to thank her for her service and for fulfilling the role as lead podiatrist while Linda lived in New Zealand. We are forever grateful 🙌🏻

Her last day of work will be the 29th of May. We wish her the best of luck in her career going forward!

I would like to introduce you to our new podiatrist, Isabelle Ryan ✨

Isabelle will be working Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays commencing the 2nd of June, from 9.30am-6pm.

“I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Podiatry from NUI Galway in 2019. Following this, I gained valuable experience working in a private practice in South Dublin for two years. I then relocated to central London to broaden my clinical skills, particularly in my area of special interest-wound care. During my time in London, I worked across both community and acute podiatry settings, including at the renowned Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. In addition to my clinical work, I was the student coordinator and held a specialist role as a podiatrist for patients with Epidermolysis Bullosa. I have recently returned to my hometown of Galway, where I’m excited to continue providing high-quality podiatric care.”

Linda will be returning to work after a year spent in New Zealand and 4 months travelling Asia and South America on the 5th of August 🌎✈️

Hi everyone ✨

Clinic has been extremely busy this summer with everyone getting their feet prepped for sandal season and holidays ☀️🩴👡

Due to the high volume of patients on a cancellation list, we are unable to take on any new patients.

Therefore we have had to stop all online bookings!! 📲 we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Nessa and Barry are taking a well deserved break this week and will be back in action after the bank holiday on the 6th of August 🏖️

LOC Podiatry turns 5️⃣ 🎂✨

What an incredible 5 years it has been. Plenty of ups and downs, quiet days to 13+ hours a day with a pandemic thrown into the mix. I am blessed to have built up a large clientele in a bustling town like Athenry.

Today I embark on my next adventure to New Zealand 🇳🇿 it’s a huge risk leaving behind an established business but something I know I have to do.

I am absolutely blown away by the amount of well wishes, cards and gifts I have received. Thank you all so much 💗 I am beyond lucky to have the most amazing clientele, family and friends around me x

Hello everyone, I have a very important announcement to make ✨📣

I would like to inform you that I will be moving to New Zealand on the March 31st this year 🇳🇿

The business will remain open with our amazing podiatrist Nessa taking over full time. Nessa joined the team in May 2023 and has been an integral part to the business ever since. I would not be able to make this move without her 🙌🏻

I will be gone to New Zealand for just over a year and hope to expand my skill set as a podiatrist while overseas. Travel has always been a big passion of mine and moving away has always been something I’ve wanted to do. Better late than never!

I would like to thank you for all for supporting my small business over the past few years, it means so much to me ☺️

Hard to believe that on the 29th of March this year I will be five years in business 5️⃣🎉

My brother Barry will be joining the LOC Podiatry team as receptionist. The phone number and online booking system will remain the same!

Thank you to everyone who has already wished me well on my travels. I am blown away by the positive responses and re-assurance that they will continue to support my business 🙌🏻

My last day of work will be on the 21st of March so no panic on booking appointments yet! 🖥️📲

2023 has been the busiest year yet and has welcomed the addition of Nessa to the team 👏🏻

Thank you for all of the chocolates and presents, safe to say they will last me the year 🍫

✨ HOKA CLIFTON 9’s ✨

The hoka clifton 9 is the latest edition of the clifton line of shoes. Having tried and tested the clifton 8’s, these are definitely my favourite pair of runners to date 👟

The maximalist cushioning and the new compressed midsole is designed to be lighter and more responsible than previous generations of Clifton’s.

I have used the clifton 9’s for short and long distance running on flat, hilly, track and trail running races and leisurely runs. On all surfaces and distances the maximalist cushioning helped to absorb impact and reduce fatigue during longer runs.

10/10 from me 🙌🏻

I would recommend always going in store to figure out what size suits best, it is recommended to always go up half a size.

4 out of 6 of us wore HOKA runners at the Streets of Galway 8k on Saturday. Great to see so many others doing the same 👏🏻
