Our brains evolved to face ancient threats like predators, but now they react the same way to modern stressors like deadlines and social pressure. This is why we often feel anxiety and stress (fight-flight) in situations that aren’t life-or-death. It’s a natural contradiction—our brains trying to keep up with a world they weren’t designed for. Next time you feel out of sync, take a deep breath and remember: it’s just your old survival instincts trying to protect you in a whole new world.
