Are you a Pilates Teacher feeling like you’d like to do a bit more training? I mean, let’s face it - training is one of the best bits of our job we get to meet other teachers ,we have somebody finally observing our form and helping us to move forward in our practice, and we grow like crazy.

It starts the 26 July - It’s not more variations with a magic circle. It’s finishing off the OG 34 exercises in the Classical matwork in Return to Life.

Which came first the matwork or the apparatus? I think it was a symbiotic weaving of different works, goals, and ideas. Can you have one without the other ? you can but they are so much better together.

I would really encourage teachers of both mat and apparatus to join me in this course so that you can root your teaching into the original soil of its creation.

Why is this my favorite piece of small equipment in the studio?
it’s like the mayonnaise on the sandwich or the mango chutney on the curry or the vanilla in the Matcha.

If you haven’t tried it I highly recommend. Basically there are no words.

I just wanted to thank my best Brazilian friend and her daughter Llyvia, who came at 6:30 in the morning to the hotel for the Irish Pilates convention and set up the balloons. They did such a great job - if you fancy great balloons for a party or an event don’t hesitate to contact her.

Femme Fatale Liadain the legend - you never mention a lady’s age, but this lady is over 80. Never stop moving. After her session last week, she told me she spent two hours in the garden.

My beautiful neighbor, Liadain on thespine corrector. She’s feeling the call of spring and wants to get moving again.

This is what I love about Pilates. There’s literally something for everybody with the apparatus. We put in the ball because she has asthma to open out her chest. She felt so great and giddy afterwards.

Today I am running a reformer teacher training day. And I always pick a card as an inspiration for the day.

Today I picked Macaque which belongs to those who thrive in a matriarchal community. I’m so blessed to work with the women today that I love the other thing you get from this animal is the power to develop a unique voice, which is something I really want for all of my students and teacher trainees.
