🕷️ Tick Awareness Alert 🕷️
We’ve seen a noticeable increase in tick bites in recent weeks, a reminder to be tick-aware, especially if you’re spending time walking, hiking, or working outdoors 🌿🐾
✅ Ticks can carry infections like Lyme disease, so early removal is key.
✅ Always check your skin (and your pets!) after being outdoors.
✅ If you find a tick, it’s important to remove it safely and completely — don’t squeeze or burn it.
🚨 While most tick bites are harmless, keep an eye out for these signs:
🔴 Red or expanding rash, especially one that looks like a bullseye
🤒 Flu-like symptoms, fever, chills, tiredness, or headaches
🦵 Muscle or joint pain
🧠 Neurological symptoms
🩺 If you’re unsure or feeling unwell after a tick bite, check in with your GP or ask us for advice. Early treatment can prevent more serious illness.
