Taking new steps…
and working with what get’s in the way.
When it comes to taking new steps in the direction of our dreams and desires, all sorts of saboteurs can show up. I’m sure you know the feeling; it's like the “push me pull me” creature arrives, where one part of the self wants to move forwards and the other part pulls in the completely opposite direction. It can be quite the dance!
Over the years, with the support of wise teachers and friends, I’ve explored finding ways to move forward that embraces the complexities we hold within. To expand so that my soul can take more space, but deepen so that I can radically self care along the way. Soothing the activated nervous system, and that part of me that feels that stepping forward is frightening. Developing awareness of over-doing, that can lead to burn out. Drawing on the connective tissue of community, that supported my belonging, giving me roots from which I could branch out and grow.
Slowing down, breathing, finding the ground under my feet. Centering into a deeper source within.
Movement then comes, in the direction of the soul’s calling, as the fears and doubts are held tenderly, welcomed within a larger sense of self.
The times we live in, are calling for us to envision and embody new ways, and a culture that cares for people and planet. I truly believe that each of us is born with unique gifts, and that just like every little cell in the body plays a part in the well-being of the whole, each of us has a part to play in creating cultural change, no matter how small.
If you’d like to join a supportive, soul centred community, to explore self care, soul wisdom, and new paradigm leadership , then you are so welcome to join us for my new program.
