Hello, my name is Helen Falvey, acupuncturist, and owner of AcuGlow Acupuncture Clinic. My goal with my work is to help as many people as possible live their lives in the best health they can, free of pain, happier, sleeping better, and even preserving their eyesight into the future. I chose acupuncture as a career because it helped me so much when I really needed it when I was younger. I complete

d my initial acupuncture training over 3 years at The Acupuncture Foundation in Dublin, and have completed many extra training courses in the 5+ years that I have been in business to ensure the best results and care possible for my clients. There are different types of acupuncture available at the clinic. When we find out a little more about you, we select the most appropriate type, or types, of acupuncture for your treatment. Here are the types of acupuncture used daily in the clinic:
Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture
Auricular Acupuncture
Distal Acupuncture(Master Tung)
Electro-acupuncture
Dry needling(trigger points)
Motor Point(neurofunctional) Acupuncture
Ophthalmic Acupuncture(specialist acupuncture for degenerative eye conditions)

We also include cupping therapy and heat lamp in treatments where indicated.

Hello everyone,
It's me, Helen, owner and acupuncturist at AcuGlow Acupuncture Clinic, I haven't been posting on here that much as there has been lots happening in the last few months, it has certainly been a challenge balancing running the clinic and completing the final stage of the 2 year Chinese Herbal Medicine Diploma.

Studying Chinese Herbal Medicine has been so interesting and I've learned so much over the last 2 years, and now that my final exam and all my coursework for the Herbs course are done, I'll be back to posting more regularly and sharing with you all the benefits of acupuncture and herbs.

A roundup of a mega weekend for acupuncture in the capital ->

On Friday and Saturday we(the AFPA, ACI and IRCMH) hosted the ETCMA GA - this was an inspiring and informative 2 days of discussing education standards, policy, advocacy and promotion of acupuncture. It was wonderful to catch up with our acupuncturist friends from around Europe and show them a little bit of Dublin and Irish culture on their visit too with an evening of Irish dancing and music.

On Sunday, we held our first Irish Acupuncture Congress, this was a huge success, and we’re looking forward to running this event again.

On Saturday and Sunday, the hugely popular show was held in the RDS with lots of information on the benefits of acupuncture for fertility on the stages with workshops and panel talks as well as on the stands

Brigid’s Day - Lá Fhéile Bríde

February 1st is the day of celebration of the Celtic Goddess Brigid and the Christian Saint Brigid.

Brigid, the Celtic Goddess, is associated with wisdom, poetry, healing, protection, blacksmithing and domesticated animals. She is also considered a goddess of fertility. The celtic festival of Imbolc is celebrated on February 1st for the goddess Brigid.

St. Brigid is known for her compassion, healing, and protection of women.
