We hope all ladies in our great community had a lovely This year’s theme is “Give To Gain”. This theme underscores the principle that meaningful progress on gender equality requires deliberate contributions from governments, institutions and individuals. When we invest in women's safety, rights and leadership, we strengthen societies as a whole.

Today, Glanmire Football Club is proud to celebrate the incredible women who play such an important role in our club, our sport, and our parish 💛💚

You might be:

Everyone is welcome to join our Glanmire Walkers & Talkers team. We walk various routes around Glanmire, and switch within the group so that we can chat with a different person along the way. We also enjoy our ‘sweet spot stop’ 😇

. 🔆 ESC Challenge - COMPLETE 🔆

The myLife app has stopped tracking steps. Our community’s tracked steps combined has achieved a 12th place in the Munster Leaderboard, out of ~300 registered Munster clubs!!

Well done everyone!! No matter how many steps you tracked, every step counted to help us to achieve this success.

. 🔆 Ireland Lights Up 🔆

It was dry and only a bit cold this evening as we held our last walk for 2026. Thank so much to everyone that walked with us for all or some of our loops on the GCC walking track. 👏👏👏👏

We hope everyone enjoyed the walks and will join us again next year for ILU 2027.

Thanks to Ronan McCarthy, Glanmire Community College principal, for giving access to us every Wednesday evening 👏

. 🔆 ILU - LAST WALK 🔆

It looks like this evening will be dry for our last walk. We hope you can join us at 18:30 in Glanmire Community College to walk at a pace that suits you. If you haven’t joined our walks before, that’s fine, everyone is welcome to join us!

Participants tracking steps for the National challenge, will get plenty of steps in, before the challenge ends later tonight.

During our challenge, we have consistently remained in 12th place on the Munster Leaderboard 👏👏 Tomorrow, the 11th of February, is the last day that the myLife app will track our steps.

Tomorrow also brings our last walk. The more the merrier as always. Everyone is welcome to join us in Glanmire Community College at 6.30pm to walk as many loops as suits you on the floodlit walking track.
