What not to throw in your skip (no matter how tempting!)

We’ve seen it all – but just because it fits doesn’t mean it belongs in there!

Please don’t chuck in:
Batteries 💥gas cylinders 💥 TVs or monitors, fridges/freezers, paint or tins 🫟 tyres, microwaves/cookers, or anything hazardous, medical, or remotely explosive! 💥

If it sounds risky, weird, or just a bit suspicious… it probably doesn’t belong in the skip.

🚫 Please Don’t Overload the Skip! 🚫

Overloading a skip — like in the photo — is not only against regulations, it’s also extremely dangerous.

🔺 Overfilled skips can’t be safely lifted or transported.
🔺 Items sticking out may fall off during transit, posing a serious risk to road users and pedestrians.
🔺 We legally cannot collect overloaded skips — and it may result in extra charges.

✅ Always fill to the top edge, never above.
❌ No items hanging over the sides or ends.
