People are always fascinated when I say that I'm working overnight as a postpartum doula. The most asked question is "what do you do all night?"

Well, most nights involve settling babies to sleep & keeping an eye on them overnight, to allow their parents to get a restful nights sleep.
I wash feeding equipment; pumps, bottles etc.
I prepare bottles, if required
I do laundry.

And some nights, some nights I cook!

This particular family needed feeding 😜

Baby slept and I cooked up enough food for the whole week!

Happy International Women's Day

My hope for this IWD is for a better world for all women.
Better health care, safe living environment, real repercussions for those who do any harm to us.

Better maternity care, better abortion access.

May we get the safer world we deserve so that we don't always have to be Strong Women

But, until that day arrives...

"Strong women; may we know them, may we bethem, may we raise them"
