✨ Speed Friending is back — and something new for girls too ✨
Back in November, I took a bit of a leap and hosted my first Speed Friending event - in Ireland. Honestly? It went so much better than I expected. I’ve made real friends from it — we’ve already gone to watch the sunrise at Cahore Point and had a lovely walk, with more plans coming up in January.
“The place in which I’ll fit will not exist until I make it.” — James Baldwin
That quote really sums up why I’m doing this. My mission is to create spaces where people are always welcome to turn up, feel comfortable talking to strangers, and make friends.
No matter where I lived — my hometown in Perth, Australia, then New Zealand, and now Ireland — I’ve always found it hard to meet new people. So I’m on a mission to change that, for me, and for others who feel the same — including my daughter.
So I’m running more 💛

✨ NEW: Girls Friends & Art Club (Ages 8–11) ✨
I’m starting a Girls Friends & Art Club in Gorey at
🎨 Bergin Art
This is a 5-week course starting Tuesday 10 Feb, 4-5.30pm for girls aged 8–11, focused primarily on making friends and building connection. The art will be very simple, paper-based activities, used as a gentle way to help conversations flow and friendships form — no pressure, no performance, just creating together.
I’ve organised it so my own daughter will be coming too, helping create a relaxed, welcoming space for everyone.
