❤️Mindfulness exercises can be as effective as anxiety drugs, a new study shows.

A recent study published in JAMA Psychiatry showed that people who received eight weeks of mindfulness-based interventions experienced a decrease in anxiety that matched those who were prescribed escitalopram, a common anti-anxiety medication that is often prescribed under the brand name Lexapro.

When a participant takes the time to write a review it means a lot. When Andrea was signing up for the course, she had concerns that her computer skills were not the best, and she was worried she may not be skilled enough to take an online course. I was able to put her mind at ease immediately.

I never thought I would be offering and facilitating Online Courses. I didn't think it would work, and I didn't think I would like it. But I have proven myself Sooooo wrong. Now with a comfy set-up and the technology sorted, I'm absolutely loving it.

And it turns out participants are loving it too, and giving fabulous feedback. Participants are now taking the course from all over Ireland, and Europe. (Italy, Spain, Wales, England ... to name a few !!! )

An interesting development is the Diaspora that are signing up to take the course. Hearing the Irish accent of fellow participants, and listening to the guided meditations, is having a soothing effect all of it own !

The MBSR course (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course) is highly experiential. Now with my studio space sorted, I'm able to guide participants through all the Meditations, Body practices, learning modules and inquiry sessions, with great ease.

MBSR Wexford is an educational training resource for all those interested in developing the skills of Mindfulness. It is run by HSE approved MBSR instructor Una Keeley. Una offers Courses in County Wexford, Ireland.

MBSR is the Official Gold Standard Mindfulness Course, highly recommended by Doctors psychotherapists and counselors. It is the official 8 week course on which all the scientific studies are based. It is regulated by the Mindfulness Teachers Association of Ireland. Una is a fully qualified professional member of the MTAI.
