A look inside one of our most in demand units - our Child and Adolescent room at our Gorey Clinical Centre. We run a similar centre in Arklow — ten counselling rooms between the two, every single one set up, painted, maintained, cleaned, and funded by our small team of volunteers.

That's a huge responsibility to carry — and they carry it without pay, without fanfare, and without nearly enough recognition.

The rising costs that are affecting everyone are affecting us too. Keeping the lights on, the heating running, the rent paid — that pressure falls entirely on their shoulders.

And still they show up.
So this is us saying it: thank you. For every coat of paint, every bill paid, every door kept open. None of this exists without you.

If you popped into our Gorey store yesterday, you were likely greeted by our two wonderful volunteers, Stephen and Caden, who is currently studying psychology.

Thank you both for your dedication, kindness, and generosity. Your impact is felt by the thousands of people who have benefited from our service over the past 12 years.

Did you know our store is one of only two charity shops in Gorey managed and run entirely by volunteers? By the community, for the community.

The latest numbers from our helpline referrals show a 129% increase over the past two months. Our data reveals that 12-17 year olds continue to present in large numbers, with young women particularly struggling with self-harm and the pressures of social media use.

We continue to receive referrals from state agencies and other charities—and the need is greater than ever. If you'd like to support our services and ensure we're always there for young people in crisis, consider pledging a small amount each month. Your support changes lives. 💚 futuresinmind.ie/donate

A HUGE well done and thank you to this team from ESB Networks for completing QPR Gatekeeper Su***de Prevention Training with Futures In Mind recently.

Your dedication to recognising signs of crisis, confidently asking tough questions, and providing compassionate support could genuinely save lives.

Research shows that up to 90% of people who die through su***de show warning signs beforehand. Bystander training like this empowers teams to notice and respond effectively.

Together, we're building safer, more supportive communities.

Whether it is fear of being judged, uncertainty about what to say, or simply not knowing if what they are experiencing is 'bad enough' to mention, many peop...
