Unfortunately due to the scheduled power outage by ESB networks on this coming Tuesday the 14th of October we will be unable to provide our regular service on that day. We will remain closed but pre-ordered prescriptions will be available for collection.

FLU VACCINES available now for adults and children. Call 091631272 or email quinnspharmacygort@gmail.com for an appointment. We can do "drop-in" vaccines outside of the busiest times. ( ie outside of 5-6pm, and 12.30 to 2)

I'd been looking for this picture for a while.. the late Tommy Minogue with a tope he caught on the flaggy shore a long, long time ago (1990's?)..62lb 9oz. It was a record, but there was only records from boat caught fish, so there was debate about how admissable it would be.
back in those days there were good numbers of fish in the sea, and it wasn't unusual to land one, especially if it was injured. nowadays fish are released to live another day. Tommy did get this cut into steaks so it wasn't wasted, but it was an exceptional catch, he had a fantastic reputation as a fisherman.. as well as being an all-round decent man. I had never seen him take home a fish before this.
