Hello lovely souls,

I'm so excited to invite you to a beautiful Pregnancy Yoga course at Common Ground Bray, starting tomorrow at 6 PM. This special journey is all about connecting with your body, your baby, and your energetic system through:

Yoga: Soothing poses to support your changing body, and strengthening to build resilience for birth.

Breathwork: Calming techniques to help you breathe deeply and feel more relaxed, and techniques to prepare for birth.

Positive Affirmations: Empowering words to help prepare your mind for giving birth.

Guided Visualizations: Heartwarming imagery to connect with your baby as well as prepare for birth.

Deep Relaxation: Peaceful moments to rest and recharge.

I've had the honor of working with amazing women over the past four years, both in studios and one-on-one. Every class is a heartfelt experience, and I learn so much from each incredible woman I meet.

Class Details:
When: Tomorrow at 6 PM
Where: Common Ground Bray
Cost: €15 per class

Weekly reminder: Wednesday evening yoga at Kilcoole Community Centre at 7pm.
This class will be a lovely full moon class. We'll be moving a little slower, with deeper postures, and yummy relaxation with a Yoga Nidra at the end of our practice!

Hi Everyone, for anybody in Wicklow, starting in September, I am facilitating two new classes at Common Ground Bray.

Pregnancy Yoga: A 5-week course for mums 12 weeks +. We will learn yoga asana, breathwork, visualisation and meditation to connect with our bodies, wombspace and babies. It's a lovely course to bring peace and ease into your pregnancy journey.

Yoga with Shamanic Journey: A 6-week course where we deep dive into yoga asana through the chakras, and then into a shamanic journey to help restore, release and heal.

I don't know about you but I get pretty overwhelmed about how badly we treat our planet
Sometimes it feels like what can we do when big corporations are the biggest threat? Especially after watching it seems like being a veggan isnt enough
However reducing, reusing still helps. Make the switch to veganism will help our oceans. Reducing our meat consumption will help to lower carbon emissions. Yes the plant food industry impacts our planet too, so try growing more at home, shop locally produced foods, shop organic and buy fair trade
Something I've switched to lately is period pants to lower/ prevent more waste from disposable pads, tampons etc. And I'm buying a lot less plastic or items made from recycled ocean plastic
I could rant on but the most important thing you can do is inform yourself. Stop hiding from the truth. Our planet is sick.

Did you know that visualisations and affirmations are an amazing way for you to prepare for birth?
Especially if you're in your third trimester, it's a great time to begin practising different types of visualisations that you can use during your birth -- you never know which one will call to you when it's time for baby to make it's exit πŸ˜„
Both visualisation and using mantras/affirmations can help calm you, connect you with your baby and your womb, and they can empower you during surges πŸ’›
Saying Mantras like OM are also a really lovely way to create a vibration in you that your baby will feel and hear from the womb πŸ•‰ giving you and your baby a little piece of calm 🌊

Did you know that half squat is such a powerful pose to use during your pregnancy journey?
It strengthens our legs, opens our hips, and is great for releasing shoulder tension
It's so good for preparing for birth -- when practised for up to 2 minutes (🌢 spicy) we help build our endurance and staminaπŸ”₯!
Keep breathing as you do this, long exhales with your mouth relaxed and loose lips like blowing out birthday candles πŸŽ‚ And try moving up and down-- movement helps us through surges πŸ™Œ
Scroll across to see variations of half squat that will help if you have SPD, or groin pain. Narrow your stance and toes point forward 😊 If you're not sure what position your baby is in yet and you're +34 weeks pregnant, take the narrow stance option

Finding ways this week to bring flexibility of mind + spirit
Let go, drop resistance, and in so doing, live fully in appreciation of life's fleeting nature
The good stuff, the bad stuff, all comes and goes. Even us, our bodies and minds, change
Practice letting go by feeling however it is you feel, be with it, acknowledge it. Then say thank you to it for its lessons -- "bye bye, I let you go" πŸ‘‹
Easier said than done, but try it day by day and see what underlying emotions or thoughts come up, maybe they need to be let go too
I'm teaching tonight at 7:45 pm, flexibility flow for mind and body πŸ’›πŸŒ  See you on the mat
