Mindfulness for kids / teens is supper easy as they tend to be more plugged into the body and the beginners mind — seeing everything for the first time .

I’ve been so lucky to be teaching mindfulness in schools and in centres for over 5 years now after learning mindfulness in 20 years ago . Some of my own top tips

🖐🏼 if they are struggling recognising any feelings in the body with their eyes closed get them to clap their hands hard a few times .. they will easily be able to feel the tingly burn
✍🏼 get them to write 5 things they are happy or sad about
🦶 feel the ground .. standing in bare feet wiggling their toes can they feel the grass / describe the feeling , does it make them feel happy / cold etc
💪🏼 strength is sometimes about crying and being angry .
Encourage them to let it out in a controlled way
👂 simply closing eyes outside and listening . So simple and amazing . What cans they hear
