Shared form Dolores Cannons official page. At the Himba of Namibia in Southern Africa, the date of birth of a child is fixed, not at the time of its arrival in the world, nor in its design, but much earlier: since the day the child is thought in His Mother's mind.⠀

When a woman decides she's going to have a child, she settle down and rests under a tree, and she listens until she can hear the song of the child who wants to be born. And after she heard this child's song, she comes back to the man who will be the father of the child to teach him that song. And then, when they make love to physically design the child, they sing the song of the child, to invite him.⠀

When the mother is pregnant, she teaches the singing of this child to the midwives and older women of the village. So, when the child is born, old women and people around him sing his song to welcome him.⠀

As the child grows, the other villagers learn his song. So if the child falls, or gets hurt, he always finds someone to pick him up and sing his song. Similarly, if the child does something wonderful, or successfully passes through the rites of passage, the people of the village sing his song to honor him.⠀

In the tribe, there is another opportunity where villagers sing for the child. If, at any time during his life, the person commits an aberrant crime or social act, the individual is called in the center of the village and the people of the community form a circle around him. Then they sing his song.⠀

The tribe recognizes that the correction of antisocial behavior does not pass through punishment, it is by love and reminder of identity. When you recognize your own song, you don't want or need to do anything that would harm the other.⠀
And the same way through their lives. In Marriage, songs are sung together.⠀

And when, getting old, this kid is lying in his bed, ready to die, all the villagers know his song, and they sing, for the last time, his song. 🎶💞

There is so much confusion around the concept of positivity , it can be often seen in concepts like law of attraction and “be positive” modalities .

Today I’d like for you all to FORGET everything you known about this term .

In therapeutic terms positivity is multifaceted .
It’s about accepting the bad (not pushing it away) absolutely , but also about focusing on the good things that may be happening .
It might not be in a single day but as a general concept of a way of living
Positive thoughts repap or require the brain in a healthy way, just like do your training for a marathon you exceevise and train the muscles and the heart and lungs .

🤷🏻‍♀️Kirstein has shown in studies that the brain responds well to positivity.

💁‍♀️Numerous Studies have also shown a ratio of 3:1 is needed for well-being .

💁🏽Studies also shows how if we have a positive thought first thing in the morning rather than an negative one , we are 80% more to have a good day .. emotionally happy and less physical pain (muscles and tensions) with less anxiety .

So a few top tips to help you bring more positivity into your daily life as a way of living rather than a random thought.

1. The first thought of the day when you wake it let’s keep positive . So if it was “I’m so tired I don’t want to get up “ I’ve so much paper work to do “ “I can’t handle the kids today”
Change it to something genuinely positive to you such as “the sun is shining tha TSS fantastic today” look outside the window “great it’s raining the flowers will thrive” “in looking forward to my first cup of coffee”

The thoughts of “I can’t handle the kids today” will likely now be “ok time to see what this day with the kids will bring”

2. Try to keep the 3:1 ratio.. of your going to think and focus on a negative thought make sure it’s one

3. Let it go ... don’t sweat the little things is absolutely right .. when you let it go your FREE to really appreciate everything else that’s positive in your life

Self Care 7 day challenge and tips

So if you missed day one don’t worry ..pop over to the previous post or public figure on face book
Day one we talked about dialectics or DBT
How you talk to yourself and how to program your mind with unhelpful pressure

Today we are going to talk about the breath

🗣Breathwork

The concept of Breathworks has been around in Mindfulness for a long time and even the Buddhist Religion would create places of Quiet and calm by using the Breath. It can be beneficial for kneck pain and even IBS .

When we hold and release the breath in a certain pattern it has a certain positive reaction in the body .

There are many ways we can use the breath to release negativity , Adrenalin , induce trance states / hypnosis , meditation , release muscles and much body

So today step two to ensure your self care and cultivating your own well-being

For best results it should be done every day
As a daily morning routine

The simple breath work routine

Step one .. take a long consistency breath in for 8 seconds
Hold it for 8 seconds
Slowly release from the mouth for 11 seconds

And again
In for 8
Hold for 8
Out for 11

And once more
In for 8
Hold for 8
Out for 11

You have now stopped that heart from producing Adrenalin which tightens all the muscles in the body and it increases your heart rate .
You’ve released endorphins (the feel good hormone) which can stay in the body for hours
You’ve taken a moment out focusing on the breath and reduced rumination and unwanted thoughts even for a moment
