Dear social media community. I would be grateful for your help.
Let me explain: My work is primarily about reaching and supporting women from the beginning their Perimenopause journey, and all the way through to the decades after menopause. I also train Yoga teachers, Fitness professionals and Psychotherapists in my courses for professionals in Teaching Yoga for Menopause, Yoga for Bone Health, and Menopause Awareness and Strategies CPD courses.
On social media, I post about menopause: tips for exercise, stress reduction and nutrition, & deeply felt shifting of perspectives on aging. Of course I also advertise my classes for women, & trainings for those who support them.
Usually they are seen by a reasonable amount of you, & I get messages often expressing gratitude that I have helped you navigate your menopause journey, and/or inspired you as a teacher.
Not so much lately. Lately I have posted about all the above but have also been posting and sharing about, and fundraising for the humanitarian crisis unfolding. As you can imagine, I don’t use the same hashtags for that.
Now, when I post about my work I get alerts from Instagram saying my posts are being seen by fewer people. They say it’s because I have posted less. That may be somewhat true, because sometimes when I go to post, I feel that it is superficial given what humans around the world are facing. But I have been posting pretty regularly. So I also think that fewer people are seeing my posts because I have not been using my usual hashtags as much. Perhaps.
I’m trying to do my bit for humans in need, but I also need to sustain my business, feed my family, and I also still want to support women in menopause, because you still need it.
So my hope is that if you like my material, and you think it worth commenting on, liking, or sharing, that you would do so for me. It could be this post, or it could be any of the posts in my profile.
With gratitude in advance!
