LOUGH GUR HISTORICAL SOCIETY TALK:
Takes place in the Honey Fitz Theatre, Lough Gur on Thursday, October 16 at 7:30pm.
Terror, Tear and Tragedy.
The Mount Cashell Divorce Case of 1876 a very Victorian Scandal. Kilworth author Noel Howard will present the scandalous story of the infamous divorce case which rocked 19th Century Ireland. The fascinating details of the 1876 divorce case between Lady Catherine Moore Mount Cashell of Moorepark, Kilworth, and her husband Captain Richard Spread Morgan are the subject of Noel's latest book, "Terror, Tear and Tragedy." Noel's research explores this infamous scandal which also highlights a brave woman's stance in a male dominated society, this is ultimately a family tragedy touched by adultery, cruelty and heartache. Noel has spoken on this fascinating topic to many groups since he published his book in 2023 and the reviews are wonderful. We look forward to welcoming him to Lough Gur.

A Heartfelt Thank You
On behalf of the Hospital Community Council, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to our recent scrap metal fundraising event.
Your generosity and support are deeply appreciated. We are especially grateful to all the volunteers who gave their time and energy to help in so many ways.
A special thank you also goes to Centra on Lower Main Street for their kind donation of refreshments.
A special word of thanks to Hospital Herbertstown GAA Club for providing their grounds and facilities for our scrap metal collection.

Thanks to your incredible support, €8,121.66 was raised during the scrap metal fundraiser, with an additional €1,115 raised at our Bake Sale in May.
This brings our total to €9,236.66 β€” a fantastic step towards our goal of €60,000 for the roof repair of Hospital Community Hall.

Further fundraising events are planned, and we look forward to your continued support.
Thank You
