Over the past while I have spent my time learning about a topic close to my heart. Bone Health.
This course shone a light on movements we can incorporate into our practice to prevent bone loss and the respect we give to our yoga practice when we are osteoporotic or have some softening of bone.
As I would always have incorporated strength work this course enhances what I already teach. Strength, coordination, balance flexibility are all taught every week in my classes.
All vital in fall prevention.

Don’t forget the yoga strap for this weeks class.

This week in class we will be stretching out with the aid of a yoga strap. A dressing gown belt or a neck tie works equally as well. Please leave the stretchy resistance band at home.

Our libraries put on a great variety of events through out the year and throughout the county. I’m sure this will be another great event.

All are welcome to join us at Kinsale library on Friday 31st January at 10:30 am, for a free Healthy Ireland at Your Library talk delivered by Norma Mulcahy Neuromuscular Therapy West Cork.
Norma will give practical guidance on how to stay steady on your feet and work towards preventing slips, trips and falls.
