The most common cause of dizziness is called benign positional paroxysmal vertigo or BPPV. It is called BPPV because it is benign (not harmful to your health), paroxysmal (it can occur without warning), positional (it is brought on by a specific type of head movement) and vertigo (you feel a sensation of spinning).

Dizziness can come in many forms, a common cause is benign positional paroxysmal vertigo or BPPV.

Seamus Deignan BSc Honours MISCP Senior Physiotherapist & Practice Manager

Seamus qualified as a Physiotherapist with a first class honours degree from Manchester University in 2008. Since then he has worked as a Senior Physiotherapist in the Sports Surgery Clinic in Santry, in the HSE, and in private practice. This has enabled Seamus to build up a vast wealth of experience in the treatment of patients at all levels of ability from elite international athletes to people requiring assistance with basic tasks. Seamus has completed post graduate training in many areas including Pilates, Dry Needling, Biomechanics and Orthotic Prescription, Neurokinetic Therapy, and Manual Therapy. Seamus has worked with many sports teams and is Physiotherapist to Kells GAA and the Meath Senior Football Team.

We are a family run business based in Kells Primary Care Centre.
