Spreading Smiles Worldwide! 🌍🦷

Last year, one of Dental Care Ireland’s Treatment Coordinators, Liz Jackson, joined a volunteer team in Uganda where they provided vital treatment in Entebbe, Jinja, Mbale and Tororo. Across 11 clinics, the team treated over 1,500 people ranging from toddlers to elders, offering essential dental care, pain relief and hope! 💙🎗️

Now, Liz is preparing for her next mission, travelling to Kabale in Southern Uganda and then on to Kenya with the Dental Outreach Relief Foundation, where clinics will even be set up outdoors under simple canopies! ⛺️🦷

At Dental Care Ireland, we are so proud of Liz and delighted to be able to support her in these life-changing journeys; helping to bring health care, confidence and happy smiles to communities worldwide! 🙌 🌍

Meet Dr. Anna Sheehan BDS NUI new fabulous dentist to join the team🙌
Anna qualified from UCC with an honours degree in dentistry, joining our team in July 2020. Anna has a keen interest in treating children and nervous patients and prides herself in her friendly chair-side manner. In July 2019 Anna travelled to Nepal, volunteering as part of a dental outreach trip to the village of Bhaktapur, which had been devastated by the earthquake in April 2015, carrying out preventive, restorative and oral care to a community in a little corner of the world which has very limited to no access to dental care. It’s not all work, outside of dentistry Anna enjoys running, a national champion musician she also enjoys teaching Irish music to the younger harpists in her locality. Anna with the rest of the team look forward to seeing in the clinic soon.
