Still being triggered by something you thought you'd healed?

“Everything happens for a reason.”

I understand why this phrase exists.
It’s an attempt to make sense of the unbearable, the unspeakable, the unthinkable.

While I do believe our souls can and do grow through what we live, growth does not mean these traumatic or devastating events were assigned.

Sometimes, things happen because we live in a world that contains both intelligence and chaos.

We don’t need to pretend that chaos is our soul’s curriculum.

We do need to acknowledge, however, that we always have a choice in how we respond to that chaos.

Grief and trauma are not punishment.
They're not a test of worthiness.

You can choose - no matter what has happened - to focus on restoring safety, coherence, and presence before forcing meaning too soon.

There is depth and courage in allowing the body, mind and soul to stabilise before searching for meaning.

Grief isn’t just an emotion — it’s a vibration. Sudden grief or trauma can leave your energy scattered, lodged in the body, or hidden in ways you don’t notice.

Reconnection happens when you consciously gather your energy. Placing your hands on your heart or belly and taking a few mindful breaths is a simple way to start reclaiming presence and calm.

Small, consistent actions shift energy, restore balance, and reclaim your sense of personal power.

Release → Reconnect → Rise is the method I use with clients to reclaim presence and power after sudden grief or trauma. Each step is both practical and embodied as well as energy-informed.

There’s a version of grief most people never speak about.
