Interesting analogy, imagining books on a bookcase as your memories. And as the bookcase starts to shake, comparing this to having dementia, some books (memories) may fall off or become jumbled.

There’s a video attached to explain and as this post says from Dementia Friends a little understanding goes a long way!

“Many Faces of Alzheimer’s” — Tallaght University Hospital (TUH) has launched a ground breaking 12-part podcast series exploring dementia through a powerful mix of patient experiences and expert insight. Hosted by former CNN and RTÉ journalist Fionnuala Sweeney, the series features interviews with people living with memory difficulties alongside leading specialists from TUH’s Institute of Memory & Cognition. Inspired by her father’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis, Sweeney examines the challenges of dementia, emerging treatments, and how people can live well for longer.

Thank you to all who joined us for our Christmas party today! 🎄🎄

From Christmas decoration making, to lovely carol singing by the students from Scoil An Chlochair. A big thank you to all the students (& teachers!!) what a great job you did, it got everyone in a lovely festive spirit!

🎶 thank you also to our musicians Mick & Pat who were able to stand in for us last minute after we had to reschedule our plans last week due to the weather. We greatly appreciated it & judging by the dancing on the floor right until we finished, it’s safe to say everyone enjoyed too!

Merry Christmas to you all from all at The Cosy Cafe Kilbeggan & wishing you a New Year filled health & happiness!

We hope to see you again on January 13th!
