Well folks itâs 3 years to the day I took over the Kilcoole group and itâs been the best decision Iâve ever made , whilst it didnât take long to say yes to the wonderful Trish at the time to take it on 6 months after becoming a consultant I did however have reservations, how would the members take to me ? I need not have worried , they were the most welcoming and kind hearted souls to me and Iâll forever be thankful to them. For some Iâm all theyâve known on a Thursday but to those whoâve been there since Iâve taken it over and since , Thank You.
Byrnes Pub is home now fully to both my groups and all my classes , whilst it would be remiss of me to say I do miss not being Slimming World in Newtownmountkennedy being a proud Ben , the Mill room in Kilcoole is home ,itâs seen itâs fair share of celebrations and commiserating over the years , but each Thursday and Saturday it sees a group of people with a common goal turn it into the most warm and welcoming, non judgmental space Iâve ever seen. To my members , thank you for this. The Owners , staff, customers and general feel about the place is just a big giant family and I couldnât ask for a better one.
Byrnes Pub is an absolute iconic place at the heart of a wonderful community and Iâm so glad that decision 3 years ago made it so that for now and hopefully many years to come we will be Slimming World in Kilcoole.
So Thursday crew , thank you for accepting me in, now youâre stuck with me đ
