No one spends all day every day in the same footwear. There is different applications and reasons and uses.
Same goes for wheelchairs.
cycles in Ennis has supplied me with flotation 2.4 inch wheels that click onto my own frame, so I can explore the stuff wheelchair users usually dread, like crushed stone carparks, muddy fields, the bog or the beach, without a care in the world in the comfort of my own chair! This setups compaction is similar to a normal footprint and easier than grass to wheel along. Once out of the soft sand it could freewheel to the water.
These rims can also be fitted with studded winter tyres for extra security out and about highly recommend to any adventurous wheelchair user even just for road pushing it takes the rattles and bumps out with that cushion of 2.4 inches of air
