🎉 We’re 4 Today! 🎉

Today marks 4 years in business for us at Affinity Plus and what an incredible journey it’s been. To celebrate, we hosted a lovely afternoon tea for our amazing Care Assistants — because they truly are the heart of everything we do. 💛☕🍰

Homecare isn’t just a job — it’s a calling. It takes patience, compassion, resilience, and a deep sense of purpose. No two days are the same, and the impact our carers make in people’s lives goes far beyond routine. It’s emotional, personal, and life-changing — both for those we care for and those who deliver that care.

Over the past 4 years, we’ve faced our fair share of challenges — from staffing shortages and changing regulations to the unique pressures of supporting vulnerable people during uncertain times. But through it all, we kept going. We adapted. We learned. We grew. 🩷 🩵

And here we are — 4 years strong, and only getting better. 💪

To our Care Assistants: thank you for showing up every day with dedication, heart, and kindness. To our clients and families: thank you for trusting us with your care. And to our supporters, friends, and community — we wouldn’t be here without you. 🧡

The Law on Organ Donation is Ireland has changed. If you are aged 18 or over, you will be considered a potential Organ Donor unless you opt out or are part of an excluded group. 🫁🫀

The HSE have welcomed the Human Tissue Act, which now provides a national legislative framework for Organ Donation and Transplant services in Ireland for the first time.

“The donation of an organ is an incredible gift that is life changing for the recipient and their families”, the HSE said. ❤️

Despite the new legislation, family members will always be consulted before any action is taken and if they do not agree, then the donation will not proceed.

Those who do not wish to donate their organs, for whatever reason, can use the opt-out system by visiting the HSE website below 👇🏼

How to add your name to the opt-out register if you do not want to be an organ donor.
