"Scene Safety" for CFRs begins went we make ourselves available to go on emergency calls. Storm Éowyn, will arrive on our shores later today and Met Eireann have issued a 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 for all parts of the country. The stand down will be in place during the timeframe as issued by Met Eireann throughout the 𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 and it is imperative that Community First Responders 𝐃𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐓 respond to emergency calls during this time. Once the warning has been scaled back to a status Orange or less by Met Eireann, you may again respond to emergency calls 𝐚𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐬𝐨. Please take extreme care when leaving your home and travelling on roads as there may be many hazards still present, such as downed tress and power lines, damaged road surfaces, debris, unstable structures and localised flooding. Should driving conditions or a scene become unsafe, you must stand down from the call and head to safety immediately.
