We are currently busy designing our updated FAR (First Aid Response) course to align with the new 2026 Education & Training Standards set by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council.
These updated standards introduce important new topics for our learners, including:
• The role of a FAR responder at a major emergency
• Ten Second Triage
• Paediatric Emergencies
We are excited to bring this enhanced programme to our learners from July 2026 and look forward to continuing to deliver training that reflects best practice, current standards, and real-world readiness.

Midway through a busy week at C-TAC.

Our Faculty Members have been delivering First Aid Response (FAR) courses across Dublin, Carlow and Laois, supporting learners in developing the knowledge and confidence to respond when it matters most.

We’ve also been carrying out supervised course delivery with our trainee Cardiac First Response Community Instructors, ensuring high standards in both clinical competence and instructional practice.

We’ll finish the week with a Cardiac First Response Advanced course for one of our local voluntary organisations, alongside supervised course delivery for our trainee CFR Advanced Instructors.

It’s great to see instructors progressing, organisations investing in training, and communities strengthening their emergency response capability.

At C-TAC, it’s never just 9 to 5.

A busy week at C-TAC.

Over the past few days, our faculty have successfully delivered a range of courses across , , and .
Courses delivered included:

Cardiac First Response (Community) Instructor
First Aid Response

Our trainee instructors will now progress to their supervised instructing phase with C-TAC faculty by:

Completing Final CFR Community and Advanced Instructor Assessments.

Huge thanks to & for the last 3 days here in hustle , bringing all the staff up to FAR level in their first aid training. Hopefully we never need to implement what we have learned but if we do we are prepared with all the hands on learning we achieved throughout the course. Could not recommend Patrick and Adrian highly enough. For anyone thinking of getting their first aid up to speed get in touch with these guys. 🔥🔥

This week our Faculty welcomed our newest Trainee instructors as they commence their FAR instructor training in Kildare.

This two day course will be followed by supervised instructing sessions with our C-TAC faculty by:

Assisting an Instructor on Courses.
Being supervised by an Instructor delivering of a course.
Completing their Final Instructor Assessments.

It’s been a full and rewarding week here at C-TAC!
Our incredible faculty have been out and about delivering:
People Moving & Handling.
First Aid Response.
CFR Community Instructor Recertification.
CFR Advanced Instructor Monitoring & Assessments.

We also carried out site visits and Instructor Monitoring as part of our TAQA quality assurance process. Ensuring the highest standards in everything we do.
A huge thank you to our team for their continued hard work and passion for lifesaving education. It’s definitely not just 9 to 5 when it comes to training.

Working remotely from the middle of the Atlantic to keep on top of the admin.

Last week, our faculty delivered FAR courses in Carlow and Dublin, and our trainee CFR Advanced Instructors completed some supervised instructing sessions and assessments.

Today, our faculty delivered a bespoke Paediatric First Aid course for a client in Dublin.

This programme is designed to build on the core skills from FAR training, focusing on paediatric-specific scenarios and hands-on practice with our advanced child CPR manikin.

We aim to give ourlearners the confidence and competence to respond effectively when a child needs emergency care.
