Elimination of the lip trap and the reduction of the overjet significantly improved aesthetics and function whilst also reduceing the risk for dental trauma in the future. This simple intervention sets the patient up for a much simpler orthodontic treatment in the future.

(Sufficient space has been left for the unerupted microdont upper left lateral incisor. It's eruption is being monitored radiographically; however, currently there is no concern or need for intervention)
