Why your acne isn’t clearing

If your acne isn’t improving, it’s usually down to a few common things I see every day in clinic.

It’s rarely just “bad skin”.

Once the right approach is in place, skin can improve a lot faster than people expect.

This is exactly what we focus on during acne treatments and facials.

3 types of acne

There isn’t just one type of acne.

Most people are dealing with one (or a mix) of:

– Hormonal
– Bacterial
– Fungal

Each one needs to be treated differently.

This is why using random products or copying routines rarely works long term.

Understanding your skin is always the first step.

Wrong type of acne

One of the biggest reasons acne doesn’t improve is because it’s being treated incorrectly.

Not all acne is the same.

Hormonal, bacterial and fungal acne all behave differently and need different approaches.

Treating them the same is where most people go wrong.

This is something we assess properly during our acne facials and consultations.

If your acne isn’t clearing, it’s usually not random.

Most clients I see have been trying everything—products, trends, routines—but nothing is actually improving their skin.

In reality, it’s often the approach that’s the problem, not the skin itself.

When we simplify things and focus on what your skin actually needs, that’s when results start to happen.

If you’re struggling with acne and don’t know where to start, this is exactly what we help with in clinic.

Most rosacea routines don’t fail because you’re using the *wrong* products…

They fail because your skin is being triggered every single day without you realising it.

Rosacea isn’t about doing more —
it’s about doing less, but doing it properly.

If your skin is:

* constantly red
* flaring randomly
* reacting to “everything”

Then your routine likely needs to focus on:
✔ calming, not correcting
✔ supporting, not stripping
✔ consistency over switching

The goal isn’t perfect skin overnight —
it’s reducing flare-ups, building tolerance, and getting your skin stable again.

That’s where real progress happens.

If your rosacea keeps flaring despite using “gentle skincare,” the issue usually isn’t products — it’s triggers + barrier dysfunction.

In this post I break down the main hidden triggers most people miss.

If your acne isn’t improving… this is probably why.

Not all acne is the same and treating it like it is can make things worse.

I’ve just done a full 4-part series breaking this down simply.

Comment “Reset” and I’ll send you something to help you get started.

“I’m so sorry… I didn’t mean to fart.”

Honestly?
It happens. More than you think.

When we’re waxing the bum area, I’ll ask you to pull your knees up nice and tight.
And sometimes… your body has other plans.

People are trying to hold everything in, stay still, follow instructions
and then… a little squeak escapes.

And the panic that follows 😅

But here’s the truth:
There is zero judgement in the wax room.
None.

I’ve seen it all.
I’ve heard it all.
And yes… it’s even happened to me.

So if this is the thing stopping you from booking?
Don’t let it.

We keep it professional, we keep it comfortable, and we absolutely keep it real.

Moisturising every day but still getting wrinkles?

Hydration helps the surface, but wrinkles don’t start there.

As collagen slows down, the skin loses structure and elasticity, and that’s when lines begin to form and stay.

This is why results don’t always come from products alone.
At a certain point, the skin needs more support than just moisturiser.

If your skin feels oily by lunchtime but still tight underneath, you’re not alone.

This usually isn’t an oil problem.

It’s dehydration and barrier imbalance.

When your skin loses water, it produces more oil to protect itself. So you strip it more… and the cycle continues.

Balanced skin doesn’t overcompensate.

If this sounds like your skin, comment ME below,
I want to see how many of you are stuck in this cycle.
