This is my niece Lilibeth Cahill today she turned 2. She is one of the most caring, loving and funny little girls I know.

At the start of August Lilibeth was diagnosed with neuroblastoma a rear form of childhood cancer. She started her treatment straight away and today had her last round of chemo of this block. Her treatment will take 18 months in total and will consist of chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy and immunotherapy. My sister in law has had to step back from her well established business to care for Lilibeth full time and her husband is now working part-time to help Lilibeth through all her appointments in Crumlin and locally. A go fundme has been set up to help with the costs involved and for Lilibeth for when she is older as her treatment will have side effects. Hello July a new month a new opportunity to set new goals, to change your mindset or to continue on the path you are on.

July is all the month we get to meet our baby all going to plan and they are stubborn like their Mammy and Daddy.

In a world that focuses on powering through, on pushing your feelings down, on having a projection to the world that everything is perfect all the time we need to be reminded that this is not the best way and most definitely not the case for most people. Life is full of ups and down and sometimes you need to take time out, pull back and rest, have a cry or hug your loved ones a little tighter this is perfectly normal and it's something that needs to shared with the world too.

Happy Spring Equinox. May this new season bring you blessings, happiness and all that you wish for. This morning I sent my intentions for the spring equinox and the 6 months that follow. I was guided by Mama Cacao and the guidance I received was connection to myself, those around me and to mother earth. I also feel called to protect my own energy and focus more on myself care.

When you look back on life the hard times you experience will only be a memory. With perspective you will be able to see that is was the Universe directing you onto a better path. While you are in the eye of the storm it won't feel like this and can take years to see the new plan the Universe had for you but it will all be worth it. Growth is not linear and neither is life we just have to trust the process and while in those difficult times try and find an anchor point to get us through be it your breath, walks in nature or time talking to a friend. Trust the process keep on doing the work and all work out in the end.

Self care do you practice it?

I do however the last few months when I needed it most my self care practices went out the window. I kept on telling myself I didn't have time, I was too tired etc. Yet I had time to mindless scroll on social media to sit and watch TV that I had no interest in. Self care doesn't have to get a an hour long ritual everyday it can be taking 5 minutes to sit and take some deep breaths, it can be savouring a cup of tea, writing a gratitude list its all self care and all just as important.

Good night... I have taken some tine off social media as I have been spending time getting to myself and this new phase of life I am entering. I am back and currently working on some things in the background I hope to share with you all very soon.
