⚠ Clare County Council and the HSE have advised that Algal Bloom is present at Lough Derg, specifically at Ballycuggeran (Killaloe) and Mountshannon. Clare County Council will continue to monitor the situation.

🌱 Please be aware the blue green algae bloom can produce harmful toxins and is most easily recognised when it forms a bright, pea-green paint like scum on or close to the shoreline. Contact with algae bloom should be avoided as it may cause skin irritation and nausea. All animals especially dogs should be kept away from algae bloom as it may be lethal.

***OWNER HAS COME FORWARD***A report in from a member of the public. A deceased cat has been found in Cullina area…between mace and the hurling pitch on the left hand side. Description is a white adult with a grey tail. Hopefully someone has information 😢
