The power is still gone in the surgery but we are currently installing a generator so will be up and running shortly. We are unable to do bloods today as we have no means to bring them to the lab.

Unfortunately we are still without power. ESB have informed us it will not be back today. We are trying to organise a generator. Our phones are currently redirected to a mobile number so there may be a delay getting through to us but we will try to get back to you as soon as possible

The car park of Blossom Gate Medical Centre is currently inaccessible & we would advise patients to ring the surgery rather than coming in while we await clearance of the car park. Thank you.

We will open the surgery this morning 7/1/25 from 9am and resume normal service as much as possible. If you have an appointment for bloods, please ring in advance as there may not be a collection to the lab. Monday’s appointments will be rescheduled in the coming days. Thank you for your patience.

Measles

The risk of measles has increased significantly in recent months. Foreign travel increases the risk of contracting measles significantly.

The HSE are now recommending that infants aged 6 to 11 months inclusive travelling overseas should get a pre-travel MMR

Pre-travel MMR should ideally be administered 2 weeks or more before overseas travel

Children who get a pre-travel MMR should also get routine MMR at 12 months

Please contact Blossom Gate Medical Centre on 063-98484 if you would like to discuss or organise a MMR vaccine for your infant
