Symptoms of Listeria infection can include mild flu-like symptoms or gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. In rare cases, the infection can become more serious.

Those most at risk include:
โ€ข Pregnant women
โ€ข Babies
โ€ข Elderly people
โ€ข Anyone with a weakened immune system

The time between infection and symptoms appearing is usually around 3 weeks, but can range from 3 to 70 days.
