Little Swallows Therapy

Little Swallows Therapy Play therapy (1:1 sessions, group sessions), Social Skills Groups, Autplay therapy, Therapeutic groups for siblings of children with special needs.

As play is a child's strongest tool that they have to learn, process and understand their world, Little Swallows Social Skills Groups uses play to help children with autism and special needs, develop social skills. Through creating opportunities to encourage language and interactions with their peers, children gain the skills necessary to handle the challenges of social situations at school, home and extra curricular activities. Specialised activities that are used within the group are:

-1:1 coaching
-Circle time
-Big and small group play
-Visuals
-Sensory play
-Interactive songs and games
-Sharing and turn-taking

Progress of each child in the groups is given at the end of the six week term. Recommendations and future goals are also made to help further the progress of the child.
