When you feel yourself "coming down with something", you shouldn't feel helpless. Your immune system is being challenged and needs a boost!

Why is that? What reduces the immune system? Well fors starters, stress, sugar, alcohol, late nights, and lack of sunshine (common at this time of year where I live anyway).

The main parts of the immune system are: white blood cells, antibodies, the lymphatic system, the spleen, the thymus, and the bone marrow.

As a Systematic Kinesiologist we work with the lymphatic system and treat the lymphatic reflexes to support different organs - such as the spleen and thymus - as well as the digestive system.

Look after your health by first recognising that the best chemist is your own body.

Veggies add colour and nutrients!! Try something new for fun.

Veggies add colour and nutrients!! Try something new for fun.

We're told to eat 5-7 portions of fruit and veg a day, but it can be too easy to get into eating the same ones - carrots, leeks, mushrooms, peas. All good, but not Every Single Day.

I was at a talk a few months ago and a nutritionist was speaking about eating lots of vegetables . It was interesting because she challenged us to eat 20 different varieties a week.

So this January, why not add one or two new vegetables each week, and see if you can make veggies interesting again!

Here's 27 to get you thinking.
1. Asparagus
2. Aubergine
3. Avocado
4. Beans (green, mangetout)
5. Beetroot
6. Broccoli
7. Brussels sprouts
8. Cabbage
9. Carrot
10. Cauliflower
11. Celery
12. Corn
13. Courgette
14. Cucumber
15. Lettuce
16. Mushroom
17. Onion
18. Parsnip
19. Peas
20. Potato
21. Pumpkin
22. Radish
23. Spinach
24. Swede
25. Sweet potato
26. Tomato
27. Turnip

What would you add to the list?

Kinesiology is a healing modality that makes use of muscle testing to bring about swift, effective relief for a patient’s mental, emotional and physical health issues. The word kinesiology comes from the Greek word kineses, meaning ‘movement.’ Systematic Kinesiology – as utilised by Dublin-based practitioner and teacher, Siobhán Guthrie – is a powerful system for treating the body holistically, taking into account each person’s unique circumstances. ❤️

If you’ve ever been curious about this healing practice, one good place to start learning about it is this interview with Siobhán, which was featured in our Autumn 2019 issue. She had plenty of wisdom to share! 🙏
