Thiar sa Ghaeltacht inniu! A nice trip to Fintown to try out the new Millside trail. While just 2 Km in length, this circular walk is rarely flat and includes at least one strenuous climb no matter which direction you go in. Sadly it would not be wheelchair or buggy friendly and I would bring at least one pole the next time I do it. But the views are lovely with Aghla Mountain and the eastern edge of Lough Finn as well as the track bed of the old Stranorlar to Glenties railway line. I'll hopefully get to include it on the website in the next couple of days.

Apologies folks. I've been off the radar for a while. A couple of health issues, nothing too serious, but one has left me with a bad leg and walking has been restricted. I'm enjoying being able to go up Rathmullan beach slowly and will hopefully improve over the coming weeks.

Bit of bad news for us walkers I'm afraid. A kind person who regularly walks Melmore Head on the Atlantic Drive has informed me the access to the main route round the head is not possible now as a landowner has installed two two locked gates. I have not been up to Melmore for some time and was unaware of this. Hopefully some resolution to this situation might be reached in the future but for now I need to remove this route, Number 22, from the website. I'm very grateful to the person who let me know about this and it's such a pity that a beautiful coastal path is no longer accessible.

Let's face it. A damp day in Glenveagh National Park is still better than a dry day doing housework!!😂
