Through her epic poem, Joanna will embody the characters of the ancient Irish myth The Children of Lir. Her adaptation opens a doorway into the symbolic language of the soul, inviting us to explore the deeper layers of the psyche through the timeless lens of mythology. 🦢

Join writer Kerri ní Dochartaigh on a journey with beauty, as summer weaves her magic through the wilderness of Donegal.

In the poet's own words ~

On this three day residential we will sit with the poetry of beauty, hope and joy. We will think with ideas of tending and attending; making room in our circle for the delicate act of paying attention, in a world so deserving of it. Never before has the need to give ourselves back to the land, the world, the earth, one another—and our own selves—been more crucial. Through close reading, group work and solo writing time we will find ways to weave the beauty of existence into our everyday lives, as well as our work. We will explore ideas of ritual, rhythm and rest in a creative life; giving ourselves time to walk, talk, read, write and simply be.

Together let’s dream our way back…

Can you help us erect post and rope fencing on the east side of Ballyhiernan Bay this Sunday evening 8th June at 7pm. We will meet at the car park at the White Shore, near Rinmore point. Any help will be greatly appreciated. If we have sufficient numbers of volunteers we’ll do some marram grass planting. All efforts to reduce trampling and wind blow eroding the dunes. Hope to see you and your family there!
