Get to know Oisin our newest member of the team here in Donegal Physio.. We've asked him a few questions to help you get to know him a little better!

Why did you decide to become a physiotherapist?

I wanted to become a physiotherapist because I’m passionate about helping people improve their quality of life. I’ve always been fascinated by how the body works and how movement can be used as a powerful tool for healing. Physiotherapy allows me to combine the research with hands-on care, and I find it incredibly rewarding to support individuals in regaining their strength, mobility, confidence, and identity after injury or illness.

What do you enjoy most about your work here in Donegal physio?

What I enjoy most about my work is the daily interaction with patients—getting to know them, building trust, and having a laugh along the way. It creates a positive, supportive environment that makes the rehab journey more enjoyable for everyone. I also really enjoy the banter with my colleagues; we work hard, but we also have fun, which makes the workplace feel like a team. Seeing real results from the interventions we use: whether it's someone walking again after surgery or returning to sport, it is incredibly rewarding and reminds me why I chose this profession.

What do you do outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active. I'm a regular at the gym and try to keep up a consistent routine there. I also (reluctantly) take myself out on runs when I need a bit of a push or a mental reset. When the weather's nice, you might find me on the golf course. I’m definitely a fair-weather golfer, but I really enjoy the challenge and the social side of the game

What motivates you in life?

What motivates me in life is the drive to keep learning and gaining expertise through valuable, hands-on experience. I’m passionate about progressing in my career and constantly improving as a clinician. Long term, my goal is to one day have my own practice, where I can combine everything I’ve learned to create a space that delivers excellent care and supports both patients and other professionals- just like Donegal Physiotherapy!

Any words of advice for us?

Stay curious, keep learning, and stay caffeinated.

Our Story

Donegal Physiotherapy & Performance Centre (formerly Donegal Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic) opened in February 2014. Initially a Physiotherapy Centre, we have expanded into a multi-disciplinary facility that offers Physiotherapy, Massage, Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill, Yoga, Pilates, Strength and Conditioning, Podiatry and Nutrition services.

We moved to our current location at Ballyraine Retail Park, Letterkenny in February 2017. The building has a large reception area, 5 treatment rooms, a multi functional gym, Pilates/Yoga studio, male/female and disabled changing rooms. We offer a friendly service in a modern environment where we give you the necessary care for your condition or, where required, a speedy onward referral.

With the vast amount of services on offer in the building, communication between therapists and coaches is excellent when a patient referral from one profession to another is required. This cuts down on patients repeating their same injury history or training/exercise goals over and over. This promotes a very efficient service in allowing out patients to realise their potential in injury, recovery or training.

Our therapists and coaches have vast experience in their respective roles and we are constantly striving to improve individually and as a team.
