๐ฅฆโจ Nutrition Series: Part 1 โ Vitamin K2 & Your Bones โจ๐ฅฆ
Weโre kicking off our new nutrition series by shining a light on a powerful (and often overlooked) nutrient for bone health โ Vitamin K2 ๐
It plays a key role in helping your body direct the minerals your bones need in to the bone. D3 is for the absorption.
K2 is like the sat nav to bring the calcium into the bones and teeth.
Food sources include :
Egg yolks
Grass fed Butter ( check out ) and full fat dairy
Beef Liver and Organ meats (check out coop for the organ meats)
Hard and soft cheese like Gouda and Edam, Brie
Fermented foods like Natto which is fermented soya beans
There are great supplements in spray form which contain Vitamin D3 and K2
If you are taking a Calcichew tablet with D3, add in a K2 supplement but go to the Healthfood shop adviser and do your own research around dosage as everyone is individual of course
