Welcome Santa is at the The Strand in Lismore over 4 days from 27th November to 30th November 2025! He is travelling all the way from the North Pole and is looking forward to visiting the ancient woodland at The Strand which will be transformed into a magical Christmas paradise during his stay. TWC Committee - Santa At The Strand, Lismore has raised huge amounts of money for St Carthage's House and it's other beneficiaries over the last several years. It now needs your help in raising €8500 for an Ecology and Biodiversity survey in order to keep the event running.

Cllr Donnchadh Mulcahy donates €2000 to St. Carthage's House.
The donation is part of 2025 Councillors General Municipal Allocation. Donnchadh kindly chose St Carthage's as one of the recipients of his Allocation.
A big Thank You to Donnchadh for his continued support of St Carthage's House.

Our residents and staff were lucky enough to be treated to two concerts courtesy of the Mobile Music Machine in recent weeks. These concerts are always a highlight for residents and we are delighted that this group continues to include us in there tours.

The West Waterford Walk Committee presented a cheque for over €19k to St Carthage's House on Friday night last.
This was the proceeds of the the walk from Melleray gates to St Carthage's House at the end of April.
This was a phenomenal amount to have raised and we would like to sincerely thank all the committee for their hard work, everyone who helped out on the day, all the walkers and all those that donated so generously.
This money will be a huge help towards the cost of renovating/upgrading two of our flats and also the installation of ensuites into two of our bedrooms.
Thanks again to everyone involved

Thank you to the wonderful dancers from the Landers school of dance who kindly paid a visit to St Carthage's House recently.
They are a very talented group and the residents and staff thoroughly enjoyed the performance.
