We are very lucky to have been chosen by A.Vogel and Wholefoods for a wonderful trip to Switzerland.
The A.Vogel trip to Switzerland with Wholefoods began with a visit to the A.Vogel headquarters on the first day, where we gained insight into the company’s heritage and extensive range of natural health products. In the evening, the group enjoyed a picturesque dinner by Lake Konstanz in Germany.
On the second day, the journey continued to Alfred Vogel’s historic home in Teufen, Switzerland. We took part in a hands-on workshop creating homemade herbal oils using fresh herbs such as rosemary, lavender, chamomile, and notably echinacea. Echinacea holds a special place in Alfred Vogel’s legacy as one of the most important medicinal plants he championed. Known for its powerful immune-supporting properties, echinacea was central to Vogel’s pioneering work in natural remedies and remains a key ingredient in many A.Vogel products today.
The visit also included a detailed tour of the Alfred Vogel museum, which celebrates his lifelong dedication to phytotherapy and natural health. We learned about his research into the efficacy of echinacea and how he helped popularize its use in Western herbal medicine, emphasizing its role in boosting the body’s natural defenses and promoting overall wellness.
Later in the day, we enjoyed a cable car ride and a scenic hike up Ebenalp, taking in the stunning Swiss landscape. The day concluded with an authentic dinner at a traditional Swiss restaurant in Egnach, providing a rich experience of local culture and cuisine.
We are so grateful for such a wonderful experience.
